All of Daisy’s puppies have been adopted and have gone home. We’re very happy that everyone found a home quickly. It was a wonderful bonus that the adopters of four of the six discovered them because of this blog and PuppyCam.
An unfortunate fact of life is that we’re not out of business, just between litters. We know from experience that we’ll be getting a call to take another litter one of these days. We hope you will keep checking back and following this blog. You can follow us on Twitter (@pupsispups) to keep in touch and get notified when the next group comes in.
You can follow CCHS through More Blue Dots, the blog of Shelter Director Mary Tiefenbrunn. Tief also has a Twitter feed at @MTief.
National Volunteer Week
This is National Volunteer Week. You can make a real difference in the lives of homeless pets in our community by volunteering for CCHS. The CCHS website lists many of the projects for which they need volunteers. There are needs at all skill levels.
Think you can’t go to the Shelter without feeling sad? Allergic? You can still volunteer for CCHS. There are many opportunities away from the Shelter building that don’t involve animals. The Giant Garage Sale and the football stadium Concession Stand are two examples. You don’t have to make a long-term commitment, either. There are one-time events that only take a couple of hours.
