Lucille Needs A Home

We still have Lucille. Her spay surgery has been scheduled for Thursday, August 27. If there’s a run open at the shelter she’ll go back there and be put up for adoption.

I don’t think it’s possible to see what a nice dog she is by reading about her and looking at a few photos. Harriett and I decided we needed to show what a good dog she is, so we made a video of her. You’ll see that she’s a really easy dog to live with and is very trainable. How could you not want a dog like this?

Ok, I know, she looks like a pit bull, but you have to look past appearance. She’s a very laid back dog that’s great with people of all kinds as well as other dogs. This is an excellent family pet.

She will be with us for at least another week, but if anyone is interested in her they can come out here to visit. Call the Champaign County Humane Society and tell them you want to arrange to visit with Lucille and they will put you in touch with us.

We hope Lucille finds a good home. If you know anyone who’s looking for a dog, you can help us out by telling them about Lucille and this video.

  2. Thank you for the comments. We like to hear from people who follow the puppies from a distance.

Lucille is exactly the second dog I'm looking for...Medium size, female, sweet and calm...Is anyone out there good at convincing husbands that 2 love sponges are better than 1? I love the video and exact description of temperament and personality....You can't get that from a cute picture....Dog's gotta be more than cute, has to fit in with the family...does she ride well in a car? My dog goes everywhere with me.

  4. She's ridden well in the few trips to and from the Shelter, but we don't take our foster dogs on long rides, so I can't be sure how she would be. I have no reason to believe she wouldn't be fine in a car.
