We’re starting to see some encouraging signs with the Redbone Hound pups. These guys will be very nice looking dogs when their hair grows back.
Daisy
Daisy had the worst skin infection and is still sensitive to the touch in some places on her back. But the antibiotics and baths are working for her. The bleeding has stopped and it looks like the top of her head has fewer bumps. Daisy’s front legs are being wrapped to support her carpal joints. We’re trying to prevent the tendons and ligaments from stretching any more while the rest of her body grows up.
Donald
The big news tonight is that Donald ate a full supper. We finally found a food he would eat and for now we will indulge him. Hopefully we can get him going on full meals so he’ll gain some weight. Donald has the most hair on his body, but the worst feet and the worst appetite. The bumps on the skin on the top of his head seem to be going away. His legs are are being wrapped to provide support to his carpal joints.
Pluto
Pluto doesn’t have much hair, but he’s feeling good and turning out to be quite a character. He loves carrying toys around and even played a short game of fetch with me today. We’ll have our hands full with this one!
PuppyCam
We expected to have more time between litters to get our puppy room renovation completed. I am trying to get the room in shape so the pups can move in by the end of the week and we can get them on PuppyCam. I will post a note here when we are ready to start broadcasting. I have to warn you, though, these guys are loud and you will have to turn the sound off if you watch at work.

Tom,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for keeping us updated on the three hounds. They sure do sound like a fun bunch. Also, great hearing about the progress they are making each day. I sure was hoping they would, once they came to you and Harriett and got the royal treatment from you two. :-) Donald, Daisy, & Pluto are so lucky to have found you!
Thank you so much for today's blog entry and the amazing pictures updating us on the progress of these three guys. With all the bath treatments, grooming sessions and special meals, you and Harriett are really running quite the puppy spa! Really looking forward to hearing them on cam (thanks for the warning!)
ReplyDeleteTom and Harriett,
