The puppies have had a very busy weekend!
On Friday we had a visit from a family who is considering adopting one of the pups. Their favorites are Kira and Cindy. They will probably come back at the end of the week for another visit.
On Saturday one of the “cyber aunties,” Cindypup was here. I posted yesterday about her visit.
This morning we had another potential adopter drop by to see the pups. He and his girlfriend are considering adopting. So far Schipp is the favorite. They’ll be back in a week to visit with the pups again and decide if they want to adopt one.
We don’t know the actual birth date of the pups, but we think they are seven weeks old. They will be with us for another ten days or so, then they will go back to the Champaign County Humane Society to be put up for adoption.
If you are interested in adopting one of the pups you can call the shelter to arrange to visit with them before we take them back. The adoption policies are on the CCHS website. The adoption fee for a puppy is $100. That includes two sets of vaccinations, wormings, spay/neuter surgery, and a microchip. It’s an incredible deal—those things would cost about $400 if bought à la carte at a private vet. And these pups have been well socialized, something you can’t say about pet store puppies.
