Jessica was spayed today. She’s still a big groggy and tired, but she ought to be fine by tomorrow.
She’s been cautious, but friendly with everyone she’s met lately. That’s a good sign. She gets along great with the Base Pack as well as the dogs that have visited with us in the last few days. We’ve found that she takes treats very gently, almost always comes when she’s called, and can tolerate being in a crate.
While we were at the Shelter I walked her past one of the communal cat rooms. There was a cat sitting right by the glass door and Jessica didn’t seem to care.
We’ve been told that the rescue group that will take Jessica from CCHS may have an opening for her this week. If you’re interested in adopting Jessica there’s still time to get an application into CCHS and come out for a visit.
