Help CCHS Help Bailey

101231T031

The photo above shows the medication Bailey will need for the next three days. Here’s a partial list of the care she has already received or is going to need:

  • Treatment for fleas
  • Treatment for tapeworms
  • Treatment for whipworms
  • DHLPPC vaccination
  • Heartworm test
  • Treatment for an infected surgery site
  • Vitamin supplements
  • FortiFlora supplement to help her digestion
  • Pepcid to calm her stomach
  • Prescription diet (Science Diet I/D)
  • Rabies vaccination (required for foster care)
  • Tooth extraction

These expenses go well beyond the amount the Champaign County Humane Society usually has to spend on a dog coming into the shelter. CCHS has made a commitment to Bailey and will cover the costs of whatever treatments are necessary.

Many people have asked how they can help Bailey, and one of the best ways is to sponsor part of her medical expenses. You can do that by clicking the link and making a donation to CCHS on her behalf. By helping with these expenses, you’ll ease the burden on CCHS and make it possible for them to help more animals in need. Help us make the New Year a great one for Bailey.

My husband and I make a yearly donation to CCHS in honor of our pup who is an alum. We hadn't donated yet this year, so sponsoring Bailey was a great excuse to get out the credit card. Thanks for all your hard work Tom and Harriet!
