Tara's puppies are ready to return to the shelter, but they will have to stay with us for a little bit longer. Due to recent cases of Parvovirus and the number of dogs in the shelter building with kennel cough, we will keep the puppies here for another week. They have already been vaccinated against those diseases, but we will wait a bit longer to insure their safety.
Tomorrow they will go to CCHS to be spayed. The surgical suite is a very clean environment and it is safe for the pups to go from our house directly there for their surgeries. We'll pick them up tomorrow afternoon and they will stay with us until next week.
In the mean time Tara and her puppies will be available for adoption. For information on this litter or to find out how to adopt one of them, call the Adoption staff at the Champaign County Humane Society.
