Unfortunately, Max managed to pull off the splint before the two weeks were up. Somehow he managed to get his kennel door partially opened and tried to get out. The big splint on his leg got caught in the door and was pulled down about an inch. After a conference with his doctors we decide to cut off the splint and get him into the vet for a cast.
No hard was done to his leg and it's probably a good thing in the long run. The splint was put on with his leg extended so it's longer than his good leg. That means he can't stand properly and it's hard for him to do basic stuff like squat to pee.
