Sam is a handsome 5-month old Labrador Retriever/Brittany Spaniel mix. He was relinquished to CCHS by his owner. We’ve been asked to take him for a while to evaluate his temperament.
So far Sam has shown that he wants to be a very outgoing little fellow, but he acts timid if he’s approached too quickly. It’s not normal for 5 month old Labrador pup to pancake on the floor when approached, and we wonder what happened to him to make him act that way.
He’s getting along great with the Base Pack and has been craving contact with Harriett and me, so we’ll keep him over the weekend and see how it goes.
Sam is in the right place. You do great things for these animals.
ReplyDeleteI adopted my dog Mya from the shelter when she was 11 years old. They told me she had been abused as a puppy. It took over a year for her to feel comfortable to let us pet her. I'm so glad Sam is with you and getting the love he needs to start his life off right!
