Jack’s Gone Home

100118T008

The latest word we have from CCHS is that Jack has been turned over to his new owner and will be on his way home in a few minutes.  We enjoyed having Jack stay with us. We’re sure he’s going to do well in his new home.

Jack’s lesson to every dog owner is to carefully check for medical problems when your dog’s behavior changes in unexpected ways. That can be anything from suddenly having housebreaking accidents in the house to having a short temper. Dogs can’t tell us when they don’t feel well, and it’s up to us to recognize there’s a problem and provide the necessary care.

  1. I'm so happy for Jack! He's going to be a wonderful family dog. And your advice about sudden behavior changes is a good point for us all to remember. The only way animals can tell us something is wrong is by their behavior. What a blessing he had you and Harriett to care for his sore ear. :)

  2. Jack has made himself at home. He greets us at the door when we get home. He has been bouncing around the house like a pup. He enjoys chewing on his rawhide, eating, sleeping, eating and running around the back yard. He is somewhat of a laid back dog but we are certainly seeing a new side of his personality He is a very good boy! We love him very much. We are working with him to stay off the furniture. Still treating the ear problem as our vet said he still has some issues with his left ear. Jack is quite the character!

Yea Jack! Jack was such a very good boy when he was in foster care with us. The fact that his left ear is still not totally healthy just goes to show how bad it really was.

Thanks for providing such a good home where he can flourish!
