The Townie pups are seven weeks old and everyone’s doing great. The pups were wormed before they came to us and it took a couple of days for them to eliminate all of the parasites. In my initial post I mentioned that one of the pups had some health issues, but once the parasites were gone everything cleared up on its own. The litter is very active and healthy. Tonight they got their first set of “puppy shots” as well as an intranasal vaccine for kennel cough.
Today was another benchmark. The pups had their first visitors, a family who came to see them for a potential adoption. It looks like Fisher may have found his forever home!
The pups will return to the Shelter next Wednesday. They will be spayed/neutered and then made available for adoption. If you’re interested in adopting one of these puppies you can call CCHS for more information.

So happy to read that the little Townies are all happy and healthy! I'm sure they'll be adopted in no time. I seriously love the cute little face on Champ. He has the look of "hound" in his eyes. Perfectly adorable!
